1 February 2022
Members should be aware by now that we have applied for a new Protected Action Ballot.
Voting in the additional Protected Action Ballot begins tomorrow, 2nd February. This is our chance to take more action to fight even harder to achieve the EBA we deserve.
Many members have already received their login with their password from CiVs today. This information is what you need to use in order to cast your vote.
If you do not receive your details or have any trouble voting contact CIVS on 1300 798 994.
All members need to vote YES in the PAB. Voting opens at 0900 tomorrow and will close at 1200 on Wednesday the 9 February. This means there is only one week to vote. Make sure as many of your workmates vote as early as possible, and that they vote yes to both questions!
If this vote gets up, we will have an endless supply of actions to add to our arsenal. Nothing will be off the table and the only thing limiting us will be our imaginations.
We have made considerable progress, due wholly to the strong collective actions members have already taken, but Management still haven’t budged on many of our claims, including some of our key claims. So far, Sydney and NSW Trains still outrightly reject:
- Protection against future privatisation
- Safety at the platform train interface
- Making sure any changes to work practices have to be as safe or safer
- Increased hygiene on the rail network maintained by direct hire employees
- A fair and reasonable pay rise
We deserve better than the disrespect Sydney and NSW Trains have put on the table. The actions we’ve taken so far have been effective, but we need this PAB to provide the extra push needed to achieve a successful EBA.
Vote yes in the PAB and let’s win this together.
