30 August 2021
Members in NSW Trains and Sydney Trains have resoundingly voted yes to take protected action! This is a massive step in our fight for respect and a fair and improved Enterprise Agreement for members at both NSW Trains and Sydney Trains.
With over 90% of participating members voting yes to every action, we’ve sent a strong message to NSW Trains and Sydney Trains that we won’t stand for their stalling tactics and plans to gut our agreement of our hard union-won conditions.
All members should be congratulated for their commitment to standing up for their rights and conditions, and the rights and conditions of their fellow members.
It’s now time to gear up for the next steps and get ready to take strong and united action.
More information about the plan for upcoming actions will be communicated to members in the coming days.
Protected action will be taken in an ever-changing environment with the COVID pandemic already causing havoc on the railways. In the first 30 days we must use as many actions as possible so that we can use them again, at scale, when required.
In the meantime, take a breath and take stock of what we’re fighting for. You deserve a real pay rise, fair conditions, a safe workplace, and the dignity and respect our employer is currently refusing to show us.
We will be in touch soon.
