On Thursday 18th February 2021 RTBU Rail members responded to a survey released by their union asking a number of questions relating to their new Enterprise Agreement (EA).

The outcome of this survey would help determine the direction discussions would take during current negotiations.

Members considered that a wage offer of .3% with a rollover of conditions, for workers who had risked their personal health and consequently that of their families in the preceding 12 months during the height of the Covid Pandemic to enable the NSW rail network to keep operating, a clear ‘slap’ in the face.

On the back of this a resounding 94% of members said
