we will bargain together

4 July 2022

Dear members,

At 1630hrs tonight, we were summonsed before the Fair Work Commission to answer a case brought by the NSW Government, Sydney Trains, and NSW Trains to suspend our industrial action.

Unfortunately, we were unable to reach a position that would have seen the Government drop its court case.

The case has been listed for 1100hrs tomorrow morning for an interim hearing for the Commission to determine whether our industrial action can go ahead prior to a final hearing of the application brought by the NSW Government, Sydney Trains and NSW Trains. The full case has been listed for 1200hrs on Thursday.

In further developing news, the Premier has asked us to attend a meeting with him at 0800hrs tomorrow morning.

We will keep members as up to date as possible as things develop.

Transposition ban lifted due to extreme weather

The transposition ban due to recommence from midnight has been lifted due to the extreme weather conditions across the state. It will remain lifted until such a time as the current situation eases. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact your local delegate.
