On Wednesday night, we notified both Sydney Trains and NSW Trains that we intend to take further industrial action against them.
We have notified the following:
Transport and the Minister about various bargaining positions and promises made to members. We have been told we are waiting on several letters that are sitting on various bureaucratic desks.
Among the letters we are waiting for are a confirmation on their position on the New Intercity Fleet (NIF), various train crew claims and the claim for all members about pay rates for periods of being off roster (see claim 2.7 in the CRU log of claims at ourrightsourfight.com.au/log-of-claims/), and our demand for a meeting with the Premier.
Extended delays in providing positions like this just aren’t good enough and it seems the only way that we make them listen is through industrial action. And we will continue to do so until they agree to our very reasonable claims for a fair enterprise agreement.
We are continuing to develop new and innovative actions that members can take to get across the message that we are serious and will not tolerate their games.
